To continue our trajectory of yearly record turnovers and award wins, we’re looking for a supercharged senior marketing strategist to develop and implement marketing strategies that take big creative ideas and put them into the big wide world — across owned, paid and earned channels.
As for you, you’ll be an expert in marketing. You’ll understand what makes people tick to help creative deliver work that makes people click. You’ll know the difference between tactics and strategy — and explain that difference to anyone who needs to hear it.
In the day-to-day, you’ll report into our chief growth officer and work alongside our senior planner to bridge the gap between pithy insight and creative output.

- At least 5 years’ experience in a marketing or strategy-focused role.
- A proven track record of delivering game-changing results for brands.
- Experience using and understanding analytics, such as Google Analytics.
- An intimate knowledge of digital marketing, from understanding the nuances of each channel to knowing how to optimise for best results.
- Knowledge of MS packages and the Google suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets).
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
As Woven’s Senior Marketing Strategist, you will:
Be as strategic as Caesar. From first insight to final roll-out, you’ll build multi-channel strategic roadmaps that put our creative in front of the right people in the right places at the right times.
Go through the proper channels. As an expert in marketing channels, you’ll understand which platform works for which people, so you’ll know precisely when to TikTok — and when to not.
Understand the client — and their customer. You’ll get to know our clients’ businesses and ambitions inside-out. But even more, you’ll understand our clients’ customers, so that our creative resonates with the people who really matter — the people who buy the product.
Know when opportunity is knocking. As a strategist, you’ll unearth unique client insights — things they haven’t even spotted themselves — to help them grow their businesses, and grow Woven at the same time.
Brief brilliantly. You’ll know that projects stand and fall on the brief, so you’ll deliver clear, thoughtfully considered briefs, translating our clients’ goals into easy-to-understand actions for our creative team.
Deliver ‘wow’. Wowing our clients is one of Woven’s core tenets. To do so, you’ll be responsive, organised, proactive and insightful in helping our client define their strategic goals and our creative team deliver industry-leading work.
Challenge when needed. You’re not a yes-person. Whether it’s to us internally or to the client, it’s okay to say no, to push back on tight deadlines, and to explain when something can’t – or shouldn’t – be done. We just ask you to do so with professionalism, empathy, and integrity.

Clear thinking, clear communicating. ‘Strategy’ is one of the most-used but least-understood terms in marketing. You’ll not only bring strategic clout, you’ll bring surgical clarity to the role, so everyone — from creatives to clients — understands the game plan.
Strategic success = client success. Just as with our planning and creative work, our only measure of success is achieving our clients’ objectives. That said, if we disagree with their objectives, it’s on us to tell them — and change them.
Creative that works. You’ll know that creative doesn’t happen in a vacuum — it lives and dies on the strategy that underpins it. Which means you’ll be as integral to our creative output as our directors, designers and writers.
